I wish to draw your attention to the bad sanitary conditions in our locality. The roads of the colony are in poor condition. There are pot holes on the roads. In rainy season, these holes are filled with water. Mosquitoes breed in these holes and create the danger of Malaria.
There are heaps of garbage lying everywhere. The sweeper does not come regularly. The drains are not cleaned regularly.
Please instruct the sanitary staff to see that the streets are swept daily.

A blood donation camp was a organised in our school last Monday. A team of doctors from Govt. Hospital came the school to organise a camp. The teachers and the students donated their blood. Ans. Anne Frank felt lonely in the world. She had loving parents, an elder sister and a number of friends. But she was not intimate with anyone. She could to talk to them about everyday common matters. But she could not express her inner feelings to them. She wanted a patient listener. But she found that people had no patience to listen to her. She wanted to share her ideas. So she decided to maintain a diary. A diary is not a human being. It has a lot more patience than man. One can express one’s thoughts freely. The diary does not get bored. It is a true friend. It never rejects the offer of friendship. That is why Anne Frank says that paper has more patience than people.

Ans. Anne Frank was young Jewish girl. She lived with her parents in Germany. She had loving parents, an elder sister and a number of friends. But she was not intimate with anyone. She named her diary, Kitty. In the diary, she gives a tragic account of the difficulties faced by her family. In this chapter is reproduced about her school days. Lencho is the main character of this story. He was a hard working farmer. He lived in a small house which was situated on the top of a low hill. His house was the only house in the entire valley. He lived with his wife and his sons. His crops was needed of good rain. When rain came, it suddenly changed into heavy hailstones. The hailstones destroyed Lencho's crops completely. He was very sad. He had only one hope to get help from God. So he wrote a letter to God and asked for one hundred pesos. But the post employees sent him only seventy pesos. Lencho was angry to find less money. He called them 'a bunch of crooks' to keep his money.

Ans. Yes, bread-making is still popular in Goa. The main festivals and occasions are also still not celebrated without loaves, bol or bread-bangles. The village baker was especially important for festival occasions. The villagers were much fond of the sweet bread known as 'bol'. Marriage gifts were meaningless without these sweetbreads. Sandwiches, cakes, and Bolin have been a must for Christmas as well as other festivals. The baker came twice every day, once in the morning when he delivered the loaves of bread to the houses. Then again, he returned after selling all his bread. The children ran to meet him because they were fond of the ‘bread bangles’ sold by him. Anyone who wears a half-pant which reaches just below the knees invites the comment that “he is dressed like a pader”. This was so because the bakers were known as pader and they wore such half pants.
Where is Coorg situated? What is it famous for?*
Ans. Coorg or Kodagu is the smallest district of Karnataka. It is located midway between Mysore and Mangalore. Coorg is famous for coffee, spices and evergreen forests. Thirty percent of its area is covered with the evergreen rain-forests. It is a very beautiful place. It seems as it have drifted from the kingdom of God. The best season to visit Coorg is from September to March.
The people of Coorg are brave. Their culture can be seen in the martial tradition. They worn black coat. The Coorg regiment is one of the most decorated in the Indian army. The first chief of the Indian Army was a Coorgi named General Carriapa. Coorgi are permitted to carry arms without license.

Ans. Being a little girl, Valli was a curious, keen observer who had strong will power and determination. She was confident about herself and wanted to do everything on her own. Not only she was intelligent, but also a very careful planner. Valli's favourite pastime was to stand in the front doorway of her house and watch the happenings on the street. It was so because she had no playmates of her own age around there. Valli saved up the money for her first journey by resisting the temptations to buy toys, balloons, peppermints, and so on for her first bus journey. When she rides in the bus, the conductor called Valli as ‘madam’ because of her behaviour like a woman. She refused to take his help and answered to the conductor’s questions very quickly. On her behave the conductor called her ‘madam’.
*1. Who was Gautma Buddha? What made him renounce the world and his royal life and become a monk?*
Ans. Gautam Buddha was a Prince who was named Siddhartha Gautam by his parents. He was born in 563 B.C. in North India. At the age of twelve, he was sent away for schooling. He had a son. When he was going for hunting he saw a sick man, an aged man and funeral precession. These sights made him so sad that he decided to leave the palace. He wandered for seven years and finally sat down under a Peepal tree till he got enlightenment. After seven days of enlightenment, he renamed the 'Bodhi Tree' and began to teach and to share his new understanding and came to be known as the Buddha. After attainment of enlightenment. Buddha preached his first sermon at the holy city of Benares, which is situated on the sacred river Ganges.
*2. How did the Buddha make Kisa Gotami realize that death is inevitable?*
Ans. Kisa Gotami was the wife of a wealthy man of Savatthi. Her story is one of the more famous ones in Buddhism. After losing her only child, Kisa Gotami became desperate and asked if anyone could help her. Her sorrow was so great that many thought she had lost her mind. In the last she went Gautama Buddha with a request to revive his son. The Buddha wanted the grieving woman to learn a lesson. So, he asked her to bring a handful of mustard seeds from a family. The mustard-seed must be taken from the house where nobody had ever died. She could not find a house where nobody had ever died. Now she realised that death is inevitable, no one can escape it.

Ans. Natalaya was a young unmarried girl of twenty five years. She lived in the neighbourhood of Lomov, a young unmarried man. She was an excellent housekeeper and was not bad looking. She was thirsting for love. Her father called her a lovesick cat. Lomov said that she was well educated, but she did not seem to be so. She was very quarrelsome and abusive by nature. She began a bitter quarrel with Lomov over a piece of land that had little value. She said that those meadows were not much worth to her but she could not stand unfairness. But when she learnt that Lomov had come to propose to her, she forgot all fairness and unfairness. She began to wail over the lost chance .She forced her father to call him back. But in no time, she started quarrelling with him again. It was on their dogs. Both claimed their respective dogs to be of a superior breed.
*2. Bring out the humorous elements in the one act play, ‘The Proposal’.*
Ans. The Proposal' written by Anton Chekhov, makes fun of the upper-middle-class society, the custom of courtship and marriage where there is no place for love and trust. In this play, Lomov declares that he must marry without thinking about love because his search for real and ideal love is bound to remain fruitless. ‘The Proposal' is a great comedy. It is because of the characters and subject matter and how they behave. Natalya, Lomov and Chubukov fight over foolish things. All these create a lot of laughter. Marriage proposal, supposed to be romantic turns to be humorous as the way Natalya and Lomov indulge in arguments over petty issues like ownership of Oxen Meadows and superiority of dogs makes the play humorous.

Ans. Hari Singh is a thief. His real name is not Hari Singh, he keeps on changing his names to escape from police. He is only 15 years old. He earns the trust of people, then robs them and flees. When he sees Anil, he thinks of robbing him and asks for any work. Anil, being a simple person lets him work and even starts teaching him how to cook. Hari Singh steals a little money daily when he goes to buy the daily groceries and one day when he gets a chance he steals money and runs away. But at the station he has a change of heart and comes back. Anil gave him 50 rupee note in the morning. Hari is now happy and contented to live with Anil.

आज दिनांक 14 2 2025 को राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय के परिसर में सरकार द्वारा चलाए गई स्कीम के तहत विद्यालय से 3 किलोमीटर या इससे अधिक की दूरी वाले SC छात्रों के लिए साइकिल की व्यवस्था उपलब्ध करवाई गई जिसमें प्रधानाचार्य श्री सतीश कुमार जी तथा सभी स्टाफ मेंबरों की उपस्थति में 9th क्लास के 14 बच्चों को साइकिल दी गई। जिसमें 10 छात्राएं व 4 छात्र शामिल हैं। प्रधानाचार्य ने बच्चों को असेंबली में अवगत कराया कि सरकार विद्यार्थियों के उत्थान के लिए बहुत लाभदायक व सराहनीय कार्य कर रही है तो हमारा भी यह कर्तव्य बनता है कि हम अच्छे नंबर लेकर के पास हो और अपना, अपने परिवार तथा अपने स्कूल व राज्य का नाम रोशन करें यही सरकार के द्वारा दी गई सहायता का इनाम होगा क्योंकि एक अच्छा नागरिक ही अच्छे राष्ट्र का निर्माण कर सकता है इस अवसर पर विद्यालय के SMC के मेंबर भी उपस्थित रहे SMC प्रधान श्री सुभाष चन्द ने कहा कि समय-समय पर SMC मेंबरों द्वारा बच्चों को पढ़ाई के प्रति उत्सुकता पैदा करने व ज्यादा से ज्यादा एडमिशन करने के लिए प्रेरित किया जाता है। SMC प्रधान जी ने यह भी कहा जैसा वातावरण पढ़ाई के लिए अब बना है ऐसा वातावरण अब से पहले नहीं था। बच्चों विद्यार्थियों सतीश
