Ans. Coorg or Kodagu is the smallest district of Karnataka. It is located midway between Mysore and Mangalore. Coorg is famous for coffee, spices and evergreen forests. Thirty percent of its area is covered with the evergreen rain-forests. It is a very beautiful place. It seems as it has been drifted from the kingdom of God. The best season to visit Coorg is from September to March.

     The people of Coorg are brave. Their culture can be seen in the martial tradition. They worn black coat. The Coorg regiment is one of the most decorated in the Indian army. The first chief of the Indian Army was a Coorgi named General Carriapa. Coorgi are permitted to carry arms without license.
